Pulpal regeneration, also known as regenerative endodontics, is a procedure that restores damaged or diseased dental pulp in immature permanent teeth.

Unhealthy pulp tissue is removed from the tooth, and medications are used to stimulate the growth of new tissue. 

Benefits

Pulpal regeneration can help the tooth continue to develop and grow, and can result in a stronger tooth that's less likely to fracture. It can also help preserve the tooth's natural structure and morphology, and may reduce the need for a root canal.

Pulpal regeneration is most commonly used to treat patients who are 6–14 years old, when their teeth are still immature and vulnerable to necrosis
